On The Immigrant Deluge In Germany

Germany’s Development Minister Gerd Müller thinks 10 million refugees will come to Europe. Gerd Müller is either innumerate or doesn't want to shock his audience too much. Hundreds of millions or even billions will come unless Europe puts a stop to it.

The populaces of the Western countries need to get their minds around the hundreds of millions of people who want to immigrate to the First World. Even those numbers are a huge underestimate because they are a snapshot at a given point in time.

Lately I've started reading the Deutsche Welle news site. They've got an English language version. Some recent articles: German finance minister calls for option to deploy troops in wake of Cologne attacks. To be clear: Angela Merkel favors an immigration policy that makes the deployment of troops necessary. Another one: German town bans refugees from swimming pool. Why? Sexual harassment complaints. Again, made necessary by Angela Merkel's immigration policy. Another one: Rhine town cancels Carnival parade following Cologne assaults Poll: Germans increasingly skeptical of refugees. Police go after North African gangs: Police conduct massive raids in Düsseldorf's 'Maghreb' neighborhood.

Also from the Daily Mail: Forty per cent of Moroccan, Algerian and Tunisian migrants registered in Cologne have been arrested for crimes, police figures reveal. The German government, like other Western governments, tries to prevent its populace from finding out things that will cause them to reach conclusions the elites do not want them to reach. Imagine all the data about immigrant crime in Europe was made public. What would it tell us?

And yet 'Western' Europe lectures the new Polish government on its supposed anti democratic reforms.

I don't need to read the English version of the German press; I read the German press, easily, straight up. It's what I do.

"Gerd Müller thinks..." This from Breitbart and from Bild (a notorious German tabloid)? Well, let's take it seriously and address it anyway.

It is sheer scare-mongering. 10 million refugees? To look a little clearer into the future, why don't we just focus on 2016 and whether Germany will get another 1 million refugees or more?

That won't happen, for various reasons. The most important reason is Frontex (http://frontex.europa.eu/), the EU's border-enforcement authority, which is being reinforced at the EU's external borders, whether the member-states involved (e.g. Greece) like it or not. This means better enforcement at the external border - better stopping of refugees, in particular, picking them up in their flimsy boats and returning them from whence they came. What is more, border checks - and even fences - have popped up to block refugees' progress as Germany and the countries en route decide they have had enough. You should check the news reports about the thousands of refugees stuck now in Greece because they now find they cannot even cross over into Macedonia, it's a mess (and it should make Greece more enthusiastic about Frontex).

Those internal fences are to be regretted, as the EU is supposed to be about free movement. Presumably if/when Frontex becomes really effective and the external barrier is strong, they can be dismantled. But also keep in mind there are SOME refugees which Europe needs to accept on humanitarian grounds, namely from Afghanistan and Syria, who are fleeing war. These can be sorted at the borders and allowed through, after proper documentation.

So just forget about 10 million, that is just scare talk. Don't forget about what is being done to ensure that never happens.

"German finance minister calls for option to deploy troops": Note that that article also said he "reiterated his support for Chancellor Angela Merkel." Re deploying troops: That will never happen in Germany because of their memories of the past. And it's not even necessary: The failure of the Cologne police on New Years Eve was not due to any fundamental flaw but rather due to being taken by surprise by a new situation and not thinking fast enough to deal with it. They now know, as do all other Germany police departments. Frankly, if that quote about "deploying troops" is even real, I take it for only a politician's throw-away line that he knows can never actually come true.

"German town bans refugees from swimming pool" - Yep, that happened. Turns out these Arab/Muslim men really go crazy when they see too much exposed female flesh, after coming from societies where it is very much the opposite. The German refugee authorities are proceeding as fast as possible to let them know they can't act this way; their fellow refugees are also demanding that they stop acting this way and making the Germans mad. Such incidents will quickly disappear as everyone smartens up.

"Rhine town cancels Carnival" - Clearly an over-reaction. Too bad for them: Why don't we touch base here in mid-FEB so we can confirm that, in the 99.9% of places that will still celebrate Carnival, it will have been just as much of a party, with no ontoward incidents, as it has ever been? With one new wrinkle: I have read how Cologne refugees are volunteering to help as guides, trash-collectors, etc. during Carinval, for free, to show their gratitude and be of use, even as it also lets them witness and learn about that aspect of German culture.

"Police conduct massive raids" - There's no link. Even if there was - so what?

"Forty per cent of Moroccan, Algerian..." - One thing you did *not* note from the article which is linked is how WELL-BEHAVED other refugees are: those from Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria. What about that?

But OK, these baddies from Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco (although, again, I doubt the creditability of this report, but let's take it seriously anyway): Turns out, those are PRECISELY lands which do not qualify for being allowed to stay in Germany, because they are "safe lands." Especially in the current policital climate, then, these are just the sort of people which the German government can and will send back to their home countries.

In summary: This is a much too alarming post about the refugee situation in Germany, which crucially omits any consideration of how the system can react and change to make things work better.

Let's deal with readers' comments while we are at it.

"Retired President of German state court" - That's right, he once was on the State supreme court of NRW. That's like once having been on the Connecticut Supreme Court, and criticizing Obama on some aspect of federal policy. So what? Let me know when a majority of justices in the German Federal Supreme Court say something about what Merkel is doing, only then will it be interesting.

"New Polish government": I also read the Polish press in Polish, straight up (newspapers not state-controlled - yet). There the situation is becoming very alarming.

Sure, when you win elections big-time you get to pass the laws you want. What you are NOT allowed to do is to change the democratic system so you exclude the possibility of having fair elections ever again. That is now what is happening in Poland, just as it has happened already in Hungary, and both that fact and the EU's non-response, so far, are very dismaying.

The EU - as an association of nations which Poland joined voluntarily, one which explicitly involves a commitment to democratic values (Poland voluntarily agreed when it signed up), and one which also sends millions of euros in aid to Poland each year - is precisely the institution allowed to lecture Poland when it violates those democratic values. Contrast Germany, where there WAS a reluctance to report the nature of the Cologne New Years Eve assaults at first, but where a vibrant free press got the story out anyway and both the police-chief and the police spokeswoman were fired.

MAO Quisling,

Muslim immigrants are bad for Germany, Europe, and the (for now) non-Muslim world. Period. They cannot be absorbed -- not 10 million, not one million, not 25. They come from a culture with values repugnant to decent Westerners.

The failure of the Cologne police on New Years Eve was not due to any fundamental flaw but rather due to being taken by surprise by a new situation and not thinking fast enough to deal with it. They now know, as do all other Germany police departments. Baloney. The failure was due to a fundamental flaw: pressure from the cultural Marxist Establishment to avoid "offending" the barbarians. Police were ordered to cover up the extent of sex crimes by Muslim so-called refugees so as not to "fuel right wing extremist debate" (http://pamelageller.com/2016/01/police-in-germany-are-covering-up-the-extent-of-crime-committed-by-muslim-migrants-claims-germanys-largest-newspaper.html).

Nice try at rationalizing the intolerable, Quisling.

The upside to the situation is that fixing this problem, by removing kebab of all colors, will lift a great burden from the productive population, reduce crime, allow reduced taxes, and improve welfare.

@Mao, the flow of migrants into Germany is still at a rate of a million a year, this after Paris, after Cologne. And it is the middle of January. What happens when nice weather returns?

After all this, Merkel remains as resolutely determined as ever to make her country a third world hole. There have been scarcely any prosecutions, unless you count the prosecutions of people who dare to talk about the problem.

But a big part of Germany is already lost. Social trust is broken. It will not return. A million single young men with big frustrated urges are roaming around, with many more arriving every hour. For most, the only way to be with the local girls is through force.

Absolute nonsense.
When you win an election you get to implement the manifesto you put to the people before the election, It does not entitle you to behave like a dictator for 4-5 years.
Merkel is not acting on democratic principles at all the Germans don't want this.

@MAO

I _live_ in Germany. You write:

"But also keep in mind there are SOME refugees which Europe needs to accept on humanitarian grounds, namely from Afghanistan and Syria"

Wrong. War alone is not a reason for seeking asylum.

Syrians are mostly arabs, and arabs have a high concentration of the MAOA-2R allele (the "warrior gene"), about 15.6% in Saudis, as opposed to .1% to .5% in Europeans (that's DOT-ONE). Add to this Syria's low mean IQ of 82, and you have a _very_ serious problem now in Germany.

Importing millions of people from pre-industrial societies into a first world nation is the stupidest thing one can do; robotics will eliminiate every second job in Germany in the coming decades, about 18 million jobs. The welfare state is going to implode big time.

"witness and learn about that aspect of German culture"

Forget it. Immigrants coming to Germany have absolutely no interest in german culture, they are just after welfare and better living conditions, they couldn't care less if they lived in France or Germany or in any other country granting welfare from craddle to grave. Are any of the muslims _already_ living in Germany since decades working on conserving or even advancing western civilization? Where are muslim -- turkish, kurdish, arab -- physicists? Muslims reading and working on Goethe or Schiller, reciting them? Imagine if the 6 or so million muslims Germany officially has (now fastly growing) all were Ashkenazi Jews: Germany would most likely see dozens of start ups, maybe even have an own Google.

"how WELL-BEHAVED other refugees are"

They aren't. Most are ingrates who don't want to even learn the language, and who are demanding and demanding and demanding. Sounds familiar? Yes, they are as demanding as most muslims already living in Germany since decades: they want mosques built, they want to be allowed to wear headscarfs as teachers, they want halal non-pork meat, and so on. They don't assimilate, they drag their country into my country. We don't even need these people: if almost all muslims were removed from Germany today, there would be nothing lost. Most technical jobs are done by germans or other europeans anyway, most muslims work -- at best -- as snack bar or grocery store owners. The one or two engineers are outliers (but see Rindermann's article for how low even their IQ is).

I had retired teachers teaching german told me that there are mostly women and old folk, about 2 to 5 persons, while the young "refugees" are walking around the city. Why learn the language if you already have "parallel societies" inside Germany? Many don't even have a decent command of their native tongue, how are they supposed to learn the language? Am I supposed to be surrounded by people speaking broken german when I'm old (in about 3 decades)?

Also, if you read german, read Professor Heiner Rindermann's article "Ingenieure auf Realschulniveau" ("Secondary School Level Engineers"). Engineers from the gulf states have been tested to have a mean IQ of 93.

The fact that you capitalize "well-behaved" shows you are most likely paid to write these comments. It's of no use, trust me. Germans are waking up, they see what kind of savages these people are: no matter if they are syrian, iraqi, afghan or from north africa. Muslims have a history of not integrating well, of high welfare dependence, criminal behavior, low mean IQ, low educational attainment. Thilo Sarrazin basically said everything that needed to be said in his graph-heavy "Deutschland schafft sich ab". Speaking of Sarrazin, he was shocked at how fast Germany is destroying itself, even he did not see such a drastic downfall coming.

If you want a to know where we're headed, check out Volmar Weiss' "The Population Cycle Drives Human History":

PS: Damn, I now see that MAO was being satirical:

"In summary: This is a much too alarming post about the refugee situation in Germany, which crucially omits any consideration of how the system can react and change to make things work better."

You can't be that dumb, you are most likely a troll -- especially if you read german you should know the situation by now (read the Junge Freiheit for a change).
