Children In China's Cancer Slums

Parents and grandparents in China impoverish themselves to afford anti-cancer drugs for young children. They live in very small and crude apartments to save money for drugs. It is a sad story.

China has limited medical insurance. The cost of the drugs is driven up by multiple layres of distributors. People do not trust cheaper generics.

Again, it is a sad story.

A generation ago these kids would not even have a chance to be alive. People there are thankful an option even exists. This is just how it is in most non OECD countries. Doesn't matter if it's Asia, Latin America or Africa. If socialized medicine advances in the US it may happen here.
