Congress Wants Big Illegal Amnesty

Our masters do not want what we want.

WASHINGTON, Dec. 25 Counting on the support of the new Democratic majority in Congress, Democratic lawmakers and their Republican allies are working on measures that could place millions of illegal immigrants on a more direct path to citizenship than would a bill that the Senate passed in the spring.

The lawmakers are considering abandoning a requirement in the Senate bill that would compel several million illegal immigrants to leave the United States before becoming eligible to apply for citizenship.

Never mind that the vast majority of the American people oppose our current level of immigration and want a reduction. Never mind that the Hispanics do poorly as measured by educational attainment, IQ, income, crime rates, illegitimacy, and other measures. Our elites have decided that they can change reality just by dreaming that truths are falsehoods and falsehoods are truths.

They do not want to build the fence. This means that not only do they want to make millions of illegals into legal residents and citizens (i.e. voters for the Left), they also want to keep the supply of illegals coming.

The lawmakers are also considering denying financing for 700 miles of fencing along the border with Mexico, a law championed by Republicans that passed with significant Democratic support.

The result will surely be the end to the United States as a high trust society, a low crime non-gated community society, as a limited government republic, and other characteristics that we still possess to a constantly dwindling extent. Idiocracy is our future. We already face a big enough dysgenesis problem from the fertility trend. Why make the problem even bigger?

Left liberalism combined with narrow short term business interests make for an especially destructive alliance in American politics.

The rulers may hope that such disloyal machinations will pass unnoticed; but now there are mobilized millions, who can easily send messages to Congress, etc., and who get updates on every attempted finagling as it unfolds.
There is a growing super-majority against immigration of low quality and grossly excessive numbers, which can squawk
even at the very moment of tentativeness, as proposed legislation starts to acquire more definite details.
The vast conflict of interest between such elites and the majority, arises in this way:
those afflicted with monstrous power-greed, must desire ever-lower quality of population.
Their game depends on ease of deception.
The biggest deception of all on this issue, though, is the refusal to acknowledge that officials owe loyalty to the net taxpayer who is attacked by foreigners coming in on net public subsidy; but especially not to those foreign hostiles, who are encamped, in their millions, within the borders.

John S Bolton said at December 27, 2006 2:26 AM:

The government should show how amnesty for illegals would not be harmful to the net taxpayer, but they don't even
dare try to. The Stanford report referenced below shows latino per capita incomes only half that of the majority in the US and less than half in CA, where the largest number of
illegals are being harbored

Table one shows 31,700 vs. 11,700 in CA, per person: how could more mass immigration
or amnesties of latinos not result in more aggression on the net taxpayers attributable
to these low-income foreigners.
Would illegals more than rarely be above the average or median of their group,
which is already in CA, down almost to 1/3 of the non-hispanic white personal incomes?

It seems that the low quality of immigration will ultimately accelerate the present trend towards the creation of gated communities. Also, note that although it is true that the average I.Q. of the nation is declining, the average I.Q. of the top 25 % is almost certainly increasing dramatically. In fact, the competition for the top 20 American universities has increased so much during the last few years that it is currently far more difficult to enter even the competitive ones that are considerably below the top 20 schools.

If you live in a major urban area I would suggest you or your children start learning Espanol...not that uppity Iberian version either. The Mexican dialect. :-)If not, as in Miami, it will be hard to find a job in a lot of industries.

"Also, note that although it is true that the average I.Q. of the nation is declining, the average I.Q. of the top 25 % is most certainly increasing dramatically"

Several effects work at cross purposes.
In favor of your conjecture: Intensifying Assortive mating, high IQ immigrants like jews and east asians, intensified socio-economic advantage of high IQ people enabling them to create an even more IQ stimulating environment for thier children (environment matters at least a little bit for IQ)
In disfavor: Differential fertility between high IQ and low IQ people (including low and high IQ immigrants), Massive low IQ immigration, increasing disfunctionality of schools in part caused by proportionately less high IQ people who are needed to create IQ stimulating environments for the low IQ (kind of a positive feedback loop, though its not a "positive" development!)

My hunch is that what you are saying is unlikely. What *is* likely is that the average IQ of the top 75 *million people* (not percentile) is rising. That is not the same thing. As average IQ drops, people that were formally below the 75th percentile will be more and more pushed above it, lowering it's average IQ. This goes for any large, fixed percentage of the american people (and in the long term, even small fixed percentages, including the top 1%).

Note that for competition in the top X number of colleges to increase, all that is required is more high IQ people on an absolute scale, which asian immigrants supply. More high IQ people in terms of percentiles are *not* required. Note also that more affirmative action slots for the increasing hispanic population should also increase college competition for non preferred groups.

Sign up for Roy Beck's immigration updates/action calls here.

Atavistic disease, an accentuation of the wealth gap, less housing affordability, dumber children, politics centered on racial/ethnic interest group membership instead of ideas, worse health, ad infinitum. Our leaders want to push onto us a surefire disaster.

Hopefully elected Congressional members in the Democratic Party (which, like the Republican Party is actually less supportive of open borders than it was prior to the elections) will stick to their campaign promises. Put the pressure on your reps to make sure that they do.

The bottom line problem that America, and human societies face in general, is credulity and inability or unwillingness to understand the complexity of reality. Our founders realized that people in power were at least as capable, if not more capable, than anyone else of telling bald-faced lies. Think of just a few of the bald-faced lies that have been passed off by politicians, businessmen, religious leaders, and others with power and/or money:

*tobacco, alcohol, marijuana, OTC cough medicine, prescription painkillers and ADD meds are not addictive
*contrarily, that the above substances have no value, that any use to improve or change psychological state indicates moral deriliction, that difficulty overcoming addictions to above substances has nothing to do with pre-existing depression, anxiety, ADD, fatigue, etc but is just a problem of free will and/or addictive disease alone
*mass immigration of people with limited skills and education is good for the economy
*most Muslims in the world don't have crazy belief X (the holocaust is a myth, Sept 11 was a Jewish conspiracy, all women must wear hijabs, Sept 11 was justified, way too many to list here)
*the earth was created in 4004 B.C./(insert religious text here) is literally true
*race has no biological reality
*"gender" has no biological reality, outside of plumbing
*variation in economic success is utterly unlinked to variation in genetic inheritance
*contrarily (historically and in many primitive societies and cultures today) that race and gender are all-important and determining

Yes, you are correct. Some people either lack sufficient IQ to comprehend important truths. Others have emotional needs and other cognitive limitations that cause them to reject evidence that would allow them to reach correct conclusions if only they didn't find it desirable to reject evidence.

If you can just give up your need to hold on to beliefs that are comforting or that help maintain your sense of self esteem then all sorts of phenomena can be understood.
